A Journey of Resilience and Community Building
Rose Hellat is a dual citizen living in Minneapolis, MN, with roots in Estonia, where she reclaimed her birthright citizenship in 2022. She embraces both local life and a global mindset, believing in the power of staying grounded while reaching across borders through shared purpose and connection.
Shaped by a complex family background and the legacy of displacement of her original culture, Rose’s early life taught her how deeply trauma and instability can affect individuals and communities. These experiences fueled her passion for social work and gave her firsthand insight into the emotional and systemic barriers many people face.
Rose approaches social work as both a profession and a calling—grounded in empathy, shaped by personal experience, and driven by a desire to empower others. She believes healing happens through community and connection, not isolation. Her work focuses on creating inclusive spaces where people feel seen, supported, and equipped to move forward.
With a commitment to bridging the gap between resources and the people who need them most, Rose envisions building resilient, self-sustaining communities. Her story is one of transformation and service—a reminder that true change begins when people come together in support of one another.
